How High aka Reefer Madness

So Yesterday was my 42nd birthday and I decided to do something I have never done before....and that something was try recreational drugs...or weed. I've never been high before and with me potentially writing a series about weed I figured now would be the time.

So my roommate prepared a bowl and explained to me the process. I was a little nervous and this made the process seem a bit too much to get. Cover the hole, light the weed, suck in, uncover the hole, suck in deeply. My first attempt ended with me not breathing in deeply so I ended up with a mouthful of smoke. The second time I realized what my problem was. I was taking a deep toke with my mouth but when it came to breathe it into my lungs I was still breathing through my nose. Mind you a little made it into my lungs.

My roommate suggested doing a Gravity Bong hit because it's not that complicated. He half packed it and I hit it. I didn't notice any difference but he said he could. I sat on the couch waiting for the effects. Nothing. I got up and walked around waiting for something...anything to happen. Nothing. Would I be one of those people that does not get high on the first time?
Would I be writing about it if I was???

I sat back on the couch and noticed a numbing sensation crawling up my extremities. Am I high or having a stroke? My face curled into a grin. What was so funny and why am I now laughing?  My roommate wanted to smoke a cigarette and told me to lay on the couch and look at the ceiling fan. WHOA.....The Ceiling Fan...whoa.
For some reason I became some half assed scientist trying to catalogue everything I was going through. I was trying to explain what I was going through but the words kept failing. "...aww fuck it" became my mantra for the day as in "It's like I am.....like...you know...aww fuck it."

I felt like I had a double dose or and extra strong high because there is no way people get like I did and manage to drive or work or do anything. I was about as useful as a wet poodle.

All in all it was a pretty wild experience...I liken it to Universal Studios. It's a cool thing to experience but not every day.

Now bring on the cocaine (jokes).
